Site shutdown procedure

Every party has to end sometime. We are sad to see you go but understand that maintaining a NutNet site costs effort. We have a short list of requests as you sunset your NutNet site that we hope you are able to accommodate.

  1. Please take GPS data at the center of each plot and send the data to the NutNet coordinator. Note: we would like data taken from in field with a GPS device, not data from Google Earth or an online product.
  2. Collect one last round of soils per our soil collection protocol and send them to us at the University of Minnesota. See nutnet.org/soil-sampling for instructions on collection and shipping.
  3. Please send all remaining data to the NutNet coordinator. Please send an email if you are uncertain whether all data is with us.
  4. Let us know if you will keep any infrastructure (plot corners, fences, etc) even if you have no sampling plans.
